Minor Illness Assessment

Pharmacists can assess, and if appropriate, prescribe for 13 minor illnesses or conditions. The minor illnesses/conditions include urinary tract infection, cold sores, allergies, pink eye, heartburn, hemorrhoids, tick bites, skin rash, oral fungal infection, premenstrual/period cramps, skin infection, insect bites and itch, and muscle aches/pain. Please book an appointment with a pharmacist to see if you are eligible for an assessment or contact our pharmacy.

Travel Consultation

A  travel consultation is a personalized risk-assessment specific to you and your travel itinerary, conducted by your Pharmacist. Your Pharmacist will educate you on health risks and precautions and recommend preventative travel medications and vaccines tailored to you and your itinerary.

Ideally, travel consultations should occur six weeks before departure to allow time for some vaccines and medications to take effect. If travel is scheduled for less than six weeks from now, your Pharmacist can still provide recommendations on vaccines and medications and educate you on health risks.

Medication Review 

A medication review is a personalized, one-on-one consultation with your pharmacist to discuss all your medications, including over-the-counter, in more detail and to make sure that each medication you’re taking is appropriate, effective and safe. Medication reviews are tailored to your situation (to you and your lifestyle) and are held privately with your community pharmacist. 

Diabetes Medication Review Consultation 

A diabetes medication review is provided to patients living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. It is a personalized, one-on-one consultation with your pharmacist to discuss all your medications, including over-the-counter, in more detail. They will also provide you with advice, education and support on how to manage your diabetes. Diabetes medication reviews are tailored to your situation (to you and your lifestyle).
